Young Parents Small Group – Now Meeting During 2nd Service:  Are you a parent of young children looking for connection and encouragement? Join our Young Parents Small Group during the 2nd service! We’ll gather in one of the classrooms for fellowship, discussion, and support as we grow together in faith and family life.  Have questions or want to learn more? Contact the church office at [email protected].

DivorceCare – Weekly Support Group:  If you or someone you know is hurting from the pain of separation or divorce, DivorceCare is a safe place to find support and healing. This weekly support group meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM in the upstairs conference room, beginning October 15.  This may not be for you—but you KNOW someone who needs this. Bring them. Walk with them. Help them find hope again.  Contact John Cook with questions or to sign up at (219)308-7541.

Shepherding Elders/Congregational Care: In an effort to better care for the congregation, the elders each have a “flock” that they will be following up with over the next several months via phone, email, or letter to check in with your family. Likewise, if you have a concern or need, you can always contact your “shepherding elder,” as well as a pastor or staff member.

The “flocks” are sorted alphabetically

with the elder who is shepherding:

Terry Cherep: Aar-Bur

Jack Rudenga: Burk-Eg

Norm Vugteveen: Er-Huf

John Cook: Hui-Mat

Andy Fejes: Mc-Rok

Dawn Stammis: Rot-Triez

Kathy Van Zyl: Ty-Z

Operation Christmas Child

We are so close to reaching our goal of sending 500 gift-filled shoeboxes this year. You can pick up an empty shoebox and information on packing at the table in the foyer after each service during the month of October. We will collect filled shoeboxes through Sunday, November 16.

We also need volunteers for the drop-off center during the week of November 17-24. We are open 2 hours each day and we need volunteers to help us pray for and package the shoeboxes coming in from our community. Contact Carla Pyle at 219-308-3916 or the church office if you are interested in volunteering.

  • Thanksgiving Food Drive (Oct.26 – Nov. 16) – Help us stock the shelves and bless families with a holiday meal.
  • Angel Tree(Nov 16  – Dec. 7) – Be a part of making Christmas brighter for children in our community by purchasing gifts from our Angel Tree.

Let’s join together as a church to reflect God’s generosity and share His love in every season. Stay tuned for more details and ways to get involved.
