Crossroads values flow from being a Gospel-Centered church focused on
Developing Fully Devoted Followers of Christ:
The gospel is not only the way we begin in Christ; it is the way we grow in Christ. All of the Christian life flows from the Good News of what Jesus has done (1 Corinthians 1:18). No Bible lesson or ministry strategy is complete without it.
Our spiritual growth is our response to God’s grace
as the Spirit changes us from the inside out, and we deepen our own faith (2 Corinthians 3:18). Spiritual transformation is essential, not optional, for followers of Jesus. It involves the practices, experiences, and relationship that help us live like Jesus. Live Like Jesus
Real life change takes place in the context of
relationships. Community is God’s idea. Only in relationships can we know and love others like Jesus did (John 13:34-35). Only through close, transparent relationships can we be transformed. Love Like Jesus
Seeing leaders intentionally developed, who in turn have
authority over and responsibility for ministry, while also making an impact on their community, is our goal (2 Timothy 2:2; 1:6). We seek to inspire, train, (or coach), and empower people to be leaders who develop
leaders. Jesus is our example of the kind of servant leadership to which we are called (Mark 10:45). Lead Like Jesus
A lifestyle of generosity reflects the heart of God, who
freely gave his best for us (John 3:16; 2 Corinthians 8:9). As followers of Jesus, serving others and managing the blessings God has given are an integral part of our identity and key to our spiritual growth. Give Like Jesus
God’s calling into mission is inherent in our call to salvation. Every follower of Jesus has been given a spiritual gift and a role to play in the spread of the gospel (1 Corinthians 12; Romans 12). All of us have been called to leverage our lives for the Great Commission. Go Like Jesus
