Religion Vs. Relationship

Colossians 2:11-23

Obeying man-made religious regulations might impress some people as
spiritual, but Paul states that these practices cannot control or overcome the flesh!
They might seem to help us develop piety and a superior spirituality, but they
are useless as far as God is concerned.
In this passage, Paul warns against other false teachings that have crept into
Colossae: legalism, mysticism, and asceticism. The flesh loves to be religious, so
long as that religion doesn’t have a cross to crucify the flesh!

Events Team:  If you love to plan events and connect with new people, we would love for you to join our team. We plan 3-4 church-wide events each year.  Contact Tabitha at [email protected] to join us or with questions.

Meals Needed: Our Crossroads family also extends hospitality by preparing, ordering, and delivering meals.  It really helps to have a meal delivered when families adjust to a new routine with a newborn, grieving the loss of a family member, or during a long illness or hospital stay. Sometimes a meal and a visit is just what someone needs.  If you want to join this team, please email the church office at [email protected].  We need people to make meals and deliver meals, as well as people who are willing to order and send meals via DoorDash.  Thank you so much for caring for our family in such a tangible and generous way.

Join Our Funeral Team: We seek caring and dedicated volunteers to join our Funeral Team. This team plays a vital role in supporting families during a difficult time by setting up, serving meals, and helping with cleanup after funeral services. If you have a heart for hospitality and want to serve others, we would love to have you as part of this ministry. For more information or to sign up, please contact the church officeThank you for considering this opportunity to serve!
