“But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him” (1 Corinthians 1:27-29). These verses have come to guide my life as well as my ministry. As the Senior Pastor of Crossroads, I believe my calling is to point others to the only One who can truly change lives: “He must increase: I must decrease.” In ministry for over thirty years, I’ve had the joy of serving churches in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Jersey, and now back to the Midwest, which is where I’m originally from. I am blessed to be the husband of Carrie, the father of five adult children, and grandfather (Pepaw) of twelve grandchildren and counting. I am a proud graduate of THE Ohio State University, Grace Theological Seminary (MDiv), and Dallas Theological Seminary (DMin). My greatest joy is spending time hearing other people’s stories over a great cup of coffee!
