The Year 2025 Is Well Underway!

Nothing has changed, when it comes to the number of hours in a day, nor the number of days in a year, yet the years seem to take wing and fly, as we get older! We are grateful to the Lord for the year 2024, for keeping the doors open for us to be able to minister and serve Him, by serving others, in Mexico. What joy to work with Him, to share His love, as we pray for His Gospel to be understood and embraced by those who have yet to believe, bringing salvation to the hearts and lives of the indigenous people groups, in Mexico.  We are grateful for the part you have played to make this possible. Thank you!

Busiest Year Ever:

The year 2024 has been the busiest year of flying since we moved to Mexico in 2014.  Thank you for praying for safety as I land and takeoff out of many rough, dirt airstrips.  God has provided well equipped aircraft to do the job, for which we are grateful.  Ultimately, God is the One who gives safety, and we thank Him.  In the year 2023, I flew 304.3 hours with 479 landings.  In the year 2024, I flew 397.9 hours with 738 landings.  Please keep praying for safety for me and our family, both on the ground and in the air.

Cataract Eye Clinics:

In November of 2024, Hospital Misión Tarahumara completed the second cataract eye clinic outreach for the year.  Our newest pilot, Aaron Varela, and I transported cataract patients, and their guardians, to the hospital and back to their remote locations.  God gave manageable winds and safety.  Seven patients and guardians were flown in from one remote location and 24 patients and guardians were flown in from another remote location.  Five eye doctors, from the USA, were flown in from the Chihuahua International Airport, and flown back to Chihuahua after the eye surgeries were completed. The Carbon Cub FX3 and UIM Aviation’s turbo Cessna 206 were flown a total of 21.8 hours, during the eye clinic outreach. Praise the Lord with us that all of the surgeries were successful, and there were no infections after the surgery.  The patients and guardians had the opportunity to hear God’s plan of salvation, while their physical needs were being met. Some plant the seed of the Word, some water the seed, and our loving, faithful God gives the increase. Please join us in praying for a great harvest of souls in 2025.

Hospital Misión Tarahumara Outreach Expansion:

God has provided hospital personnel to help expand the medical mobile clinics to be able to bless and reach more people.  In the past, they have ministered to three remote areas (that use the airplane to get to and from the remote locations).  They are expanding to two more locations, making a total of five remote outreaches.  (That is one of the reasons there has been an increase in flight hours.) The medical, dental and CHE (basically a Gospel evangelism group) teams are working together, and are having a huge impact. Not only are medical and dental needs being met, spiritual needs are also being addressed.  The gospel changes lives; we want them to enjoy a personal relationship with the Father, through Jesus, that we all cherish and enjoy.

Prayer Requests:

#1. Safety in the air and on the ground.

#2. That Mexico will remain open for ministry.

#3. Good health, so we can continue to minister.

#4. That God will work in hearts and lives, as the medical, dental and CHE teams go to the remote areas.

Thank-you for praying for our family and the aviation ministry we are involved in.  We are one year closer to Jesus’ return; may we encourage each other in the Lord, and be diligent about His work, purposefully sowing and watering, while trusting Him for the bountiful harvest.

Your co-laborers in the ripe fields,

Brent, for Hollie Mae and Brielle Dodd
