Halos, Wings, and Harps?! Halo Part 1 1 Timothy 3:16

The stories we are going to look at in this series all have to do with the first Christmas – and they all involve angels. We begin this series by answering a few questions about angels. What exactly are angels? What do they do? Why do we need to know about them? And most importantly, what role do they play in Christmas – the birth of the Savior, Jesus?

Missional Communities are launching. What are MCs? How do I get involved? To find out more, visit our website aboutccc.com/mc, stop by Connection Point, contact Bryan at [email protected]

Angel Tree:  Please email the church office at [email protected] if you would like to choose a local child to sponsor from our angel tree.

JAM Christmas Program: This year for our Christmas program, we will be doing “The Gifts of Christmas.” It will be a Christmas talent show highlighting the gifts that all of our students have and will take place on December 4th. Every student kindergarten through 12th grade is invited to participate. There are registration forms at JAM checkin. Email Hannah Doyle at hdoyl[email protected] with any questions.

Crossroads 2023 CORRECTED Budget:  There are copies of the corrected budget available on the Connections Counter.

TMC Meals Volunteer Opportunity: Teen Mother Choices is a local ministry in Cedar Lake that mentors and builds relationships with teen moms.  They meet the first three Thursdays of every month and share a meal together.  Individuals, small groups, families or any other group have the opportunity to serve a meal to the girls and their mentors.  The meal must arrive ready to serve at Faith Church in Cedar Lake and can be home cooked, take out or delivery.  You are welcome to stay and serve and sit down and share the meal also.  Please contact Mary Van Proyen, the food coordinator at [email protected] to schedule your meal.

Salvation Army:  Crossroads will be supporting the Salvation Army by ringing the bell and  tending the kettle on December 3 at the Strack & VanTill store located in Schererville In. at the intersection of Route 41 & Route 30. Stop at the Connections Counter on Sunday, November 27 and sign up with John Brink.

Tuesday Ladies Bible Studies:  Join us on Tuesday evenings at 7pm  as we go through the book of Romans.  Ladies, you can also join us on Tuesday mornings at 9am  as we study God’s Unbreakable Promise by Jennie Allen.  No book is needed for either study and childcare is available.  Please contact the church office at [email protected] with any questions.

Men’s Fraternity is a place for men – 18 and older – to do life together and process topics that are unique to men. Each week a hot breakfast is served, we do a short video study, and then have a conversation about real life issues. No preparation is needed. Show up as you are. Don’t worry if you can’t make it every week; we’ll still be here when you return. In 1990, Robert Lewis began a movement of men seeking to recover authentic manhood from a
biblical perspective. He called the gathering and later the curriculum, Men’s Fraternity. It has
grown into a significant ministry reaching men worldwide in churches, neighborhoods, college
campuses, corporate boardrooms, and prison cell blocks.
A group of men in the church that Lewis pastored wanted something more than just another
Bible study. They wanted a place where men could gather and talk about the unique struggles
that men face; the kind of environment that a fraternity provided back in their college days – a
band of brothers with a sense of comradery that men experience on teams or as they work
together on projects. That’s what men experience here at Crossroads every Saturday during the school year from 8-9:30 AM.
